Update on March 16, 2020:

The City of Leduc and ICONIX Waterworks continue to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The City is taking proactive measures and has requested that ICONIX suspend meter installations for one month, effective March 19, 2020, to help prevent the spread of infection in the community.

While the risk to local residents of contracting COVID-19 remains low, the health and safety of our communities is and always will be top priority for the City and ICONIX.

If you currently have an appointment scheduled, the ICONIX team will be in contact with you when meter installations resume.

Please find general information and updates on COVID-19 on the City’s website at www.leduc.ca/covid-19.

We appreciate your understanding during this time.

The City is responsible for the cost of the new meters and installation.

The City has hired ICONIX Waterworks to install the new water meters. Installers can be identified with an ICONIX uniform, ID badge, and will be driving vehicles with their company name and logo. ICONIX employees will not be asking for any form of payment from customers.

The water meters will be installed in a section-by-section basis beginning in March 2020. The project is expected to be complete by the end of June 2020.

Meter installations will take place:

• Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 8:00pm

• Saturday - 9:00am to 5:00pm

You can schedule an appointment for a time that is convenient for you through the online portal, or by calling us at 1-855-455-3696.

Your new meter will be installed in the same area as your current metering equipment. Every effort will be made to minimize the impact to your home or business. Please ensure the area surrounding your incoming water service and shut-off valve are easily accessible and clear of any obstructions and debris to provide adequate working space (we recommend at least 3 feet of clearance where possible.)

Yes, in order to complete your meter installation, we will require access to your main shut-off valve. An adult (18+ years old) must be home during the installation to provide access and sign off on completion.

Inside installations take approximately 30 minutes to one hour depending on the requirements of the particular residence or business. During this time, water is typically unavailable for approximately 10 minutes.

We encourage you to book a time that is most convenient for you through the online portal, or by calling us at 1-855-455-3696.
