When J. Weber Contracting, an Ontario-based general contractor, was awarded the contract to provide a subsurface stormwater management system for the new West End Auto Mall in Mississauga, Ontario, the team knew they faced some challenges.

First, there was the limited site area, which made it difficult to provide the required 3,300 cubic metres of storage volume. In addition, the system needed to be installed quickly during the late fall season.

To address both issues, ICONIX Waterworks suggested substituting the originally specified stormwater management system with MC4500 chambers by StormTech. Backed by ADS Canada (ADS), the StormTech line is specifically designed to reduce project costs while increasing storage volumes. They’re also lightweight and easy to handle, making installation quick and easy.

To further reduce installation time (and contractor headaches), ICONIX and ADS met with Weber on-site to share experience-based tips and tricks for working with the StormTech products. Additionally, ICONIX was able to provide all the pipe, valves, hydrants, fittings, and accessories required to complete the project, so that Weber only had to manage a single supplier and purchase order.
